Alex Preston is an Emmy Winning New Hampshire artist, most known from placing 3rd on the network television show “American Idol”. After starting playing violin and piano at the age of 5, Alex Preston spent the majority of his life as a student of music. After moving to Nashville and living with his cousin Jo Dee Messina for a year, he ended up getting chosen out of 20,000 online submissions to be a part of American Idol season 13. Alex came in third place and has spent the last few years performing and collaborating with artists such as Andy Grammar, OAR, Jason Mraz, Rickey Minor, and Guster. Keith Urban said it best by stating, “What I love about your performances, they always hold my attention. It is very raw, and it is fragile. It is very real. You don’t ever phone it in, you are always in the moment…man. I love your artistry.” His debut single Fairytales sold over 100,000 copies, and he has released several projects since then including a single featuring Vulfpeck’s Cory Wong.
